How reliable is Market Insights' data?
Like all market research products, Market Insights provides 'best educated guess' insights, using the same kind of data that you would need to source yourself if you were doing your market research by hand.
Although it is impossible to provide 100% guaranteed information without actual sales data from the market places, Market Insights analyzes all the data around the marketplace such as customer reviews, import/export trade data, consumer interest trends, and other sources, to put together a report that should reasonably reflect the market and help you make informed business decisions.
Note that even if you connect your own store through one of our other products (e.g. SaleHoo Dropship), we do not use your proprietary sales data as part of our calculations - these products are intentionally kept separate.
