How to split a product with 100+ variants?
Shopify only allows up to 100 variants per product, so if a product you want to import from SaleHoo Dropship has more than 100 variants, you'll need to split it into two or more separate products. Here’s how to do it step-by-step:
If you don’t need all the variants:
Go to your Import List
In the “Pricing and Variants” tab, untick any variants you don’t want to import
Click “Upload to Shopify” when you're done
This is the simplest solution if you’re okay selling a limited selection.

If you want to keep all variants, you can upload the product in parts.Let’s say your product has 200 variants. Here’s how to split it:
In your Import List, select variants 1–100
Click “Upload to Shopify”
Now you'll have Product A in your store with the first 100 variants.

Return to the Search Page
Find the same product again
Click the green checkmark to mark it as reviewed
Then click the ‘+’ button to re-import it

In your Import List again, select variants 101–200
Click “Upload to Shopify”

You’ll now have two separate but identical product listings in your store—each with 100 variants.

📌 Tip: Make it clear in your product titles (e.g., “Color Options – Set A” and “Set B”) so shoppers don’t get confused. Splitting large products gives you full control while staying within Shopify's limits—and ensures your customers can browse and purchase without a hitch!
