How to search for products

The SaleHoo Directory makes it quick and easy to search for products from trusted, verified suppliers around the world. Whether you're exploring new niches, comparing pricing, or validating product ideas, the product search tool is designed to save you time and help you make informed decisions.

This guide walks you through how to search for products, apply filters, and connect with suppliers — all using the updated SaleHoo interface.

Where to Find the Product Search

Step 1 – Log in and open the Directory

• Go to salehoo.com
• Log into your account
• From the left-hand menu, click Directory
• This will open the main Directory dashboard, where you can begin your search

How the Product Search Works

At the top of the Directory, you’ll find a search bar that says:
“I want to sell…”
This is where you’ll type in product keywords or niches that interest you.

Searching for Products

Step 2 – Enter a product or keyword

Type in a product type, keyword, or brand name you're interested in.
For example:

• “Bluetooth headphones”
• “Nike shoes”
• “Organic skincare”
• “Yoga mats”

As you type, SaleHoo will suggest popular or trending terms based on user activity.

Step 3 – View Results

Once you hit Search, your screen will display matching results. These are pulled from real supplier listings in the SaleHoo Directory.
You’ll see two result tabs:

• View Products (default)
• View Suppliers

Using Filters to Refine Results

Above the search results, you’ll see a row of Quick Filters to help narrow your results.

Quick Filters include:

• Worldwide Shipping
• Ships to my location
• No minimum order
• Best rated suppliers
• Recently added

Clicking these will instantly update your results.

For more control, click the “All filters” button on the right to open advanced filter options.

Available Advanced Filters:

• Product price range
• Supplier type (Wholesaler, Dropshipper, Manufacturer)
• Supplier location
• Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)
• Shipping regions

Product Listing Details

Each product listing shows:

• A product image
• Product title and price
• Supplier name and flag (location)
• Supplier type (e.g., Wholesaler, Dropshipper)
• Inquire button to contact the supplier

You can also:

• Click the heart icon to favorite the product
• Click the image to view more info or visit the supplier profile

How to Inquire About a Product

Click the Inquire button on any product card to start a conversation with the supplier. This opens the SaleHoo messaging tool, where you can:

• Ask about pricing
• Request product catalogs or line sheets
• Confirm shipping times and regions
• Discuss private labeling or branding options (if applicable)

Switching Between Products and Suppliers

Above your results, you’ll see two tabs:

• View Products — shows individual product listings
• View Suppliers — shows full supplier profiles matching your search

Use the View Suppliers tab if you want to:

• Research supplier credibility
• See full product catalogs
• Learn about their fulfillment policies
• View reviews and certifications

Saving Products and Suppliers to Favorites

You can favorite a product or supplier to revisit it later.

• On product listings: Click the ❤️ icon
• On supplier profiles: Click the ⭐ icon at the top

Your favorites will appear in the Favorite Suppliers panel on the Directory dashboard for easy access.

Following Up with Suppliers

After you’ve inquired about a product:

• Head to your Inbox (left-hand menu)
• View your conversation thread
• Respond, follow up, or ask further questions
